Ramadan Ma’arouk with Baladna Ajwa Almadina Dates

Preparation

For the filling:

  • Ajwa Almadina dates from Baladna

  • Butter (for kneading the dates)

For the dough:

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1 tsp yeast

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 1 tsp mahlab

  • 1 cup milk

  • ¼ cup oil


Steps:

  1. Mix all ingredients until smooth, then let the dough rest.

  2. Shape and fill with the date mixture.

  3. Brush with egg yolk and bake at 180°C for 15 minutes.

  4. Serve warm and garnish as desired.
