Spiced Date Maamoul Recipe with Baladna Date Paste

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup ghee and olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Half tablespoon mahlab
  • 1 tablespoon black seeds
  • Half tablespoon anise
  • ½ tablespoon fennel
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 1 cup warm water for the aromatic dough mixture.

Preparation method:

Roll out the dough, then fill it with the date mixture, then coat it with toasted sesame. Cut it into triangles and bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.
